Job Objective:

To assist the store manager in achieving service excellence and efficient running of the business by increasing sales and cultivating customer loyalty in order to hit compliance, profit, and sales goals and provide the brand a competitive edge.Assistant Store Manager – Clicks

Job Purposes:

To ensure that the store’s financial performance goals are met by maximizing sales through the use of promotional strategies, as well as by encouraging cross-selling, up-selling, and superior customer service initiatives among the staff members.
must effectively carry out all store operations, including accounting, stock management, shrinkage, general cleaning, and administration.
To successfully implement in-store visual merchandising, make sure that the store’s appearance is consistent with the brand image and that in-store presentation and promotional requirements are met.
To support the store manager in making sure that employees are handled well in their absence and motivated to meet their targets and performance goals.
In order to guarantee that each department is adequately staffed, you must help the store manager maintain the daily work schedule in accordance with the Group’s labor policy and the applicable labor model.
to carry out in-store customer service efforts that produce a wonderful customer experience, promote customer loyalty, and hit club card participation goals.
to efficiently handle all administrative duties, including making sure that HR receives comprehensive personnel records and weekly time and attendance reports.

Minimum requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Essential: Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%)
  • Essential: Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification (External applicants)
  • Desirable: Degree in Relevant Retail/Business Management Assistant Store Manager – Clicks
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in an assistant store management role within a retail/FMCG store operations environment or successful completion the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
  • Financial management experience (budgets, profit and loss statements, financial ratios, etc.)

Job Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Understanding and application of financial management principles
  • Retail/FMCG background and understanding of merchandising and promotions principles
  • Knowledge of stock, cost, risk and compliance management procedures
  • Knowledge of customer service excellence
