Job Title: Delivery Driver
Reporting line: Branch Manager
Location/Franchise: Nashua Secunda
JOB PURPOSE
The delivery driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. The delivery driver should be willing to work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly and safely delivered to the correct clients.
To succeed as a delivery driver, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with an excellent experience. You should also be thorough in ensuring that orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License (Code 10) and a Valid PDP
- At least 2 years’ working experience as a delivery driver
- Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
Duties & Responsibilities
Machine Deliveries, Collections and Movements
- Inspect deliveries, collections and movements of machines
- Secure deliveries
- Loading and Offloading
Consumable Deliveries
- Consumable deliveries
- Bring back undelivered toners
Stock Collection from Suppliers
- Stock Collection
Orderly completion and submission of documents
- Keep permits safe
- Inform management of renewals
- Submission of all original PODs, Movement and Collection dockets
Vehicle Inspection
- Keep vehicles tidy, safe and clean
- Vehicle and Safety Checks
- Basic Vehicle Maintenance
Skills and Attributes
- Be Presentable, Professional and have good Communication skills
- Team player with excellent knowledge of Gauteng Surrounding Areas
- Computer Literate
- Responsible and reliable
- Good customer service
Other Assignments
Working Conditions
- Working hours is 07:30 – 16:30
- Should be able to complete physical tasks
- Probation is 3 months
