Job Purpose:
To be accountable for implementing the Business Unit OHSE objectives.

Key Accountabilities:
• Ensure adherence to the company’s rules and regulations as documented in the company’s disciplinary policy.
• Ensure that housekeeping is maintained in your work area.
• Accountable for providing OHSE awareness, support and training and ensuring safe work practices.
• Accountable for implementing and controlling site SHE systems in line with system standards, corporate standards and guidelines and legislative requirements.
• Manage and control safe standard operating sheets and procedures. Oversee and co-ordinate all safety activities.
• Implementing and maintaining compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental legislation.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental reviews and monthly OHSE meetings are conducted.
• Responsible for investigation and preparing reports on safety, health, and environmental accidents and IODs.
• Co-ordinate IOD administration functions, medical service providers and Department of Labour issues.
• Accept responsibility to conduct required investigations, risk assessments and risk mapping.
• Compile and control risk assessments, risk mapping and non-conformance reporting KPIs.
• Accept responsibility to develop, co-ordinate and implement a risk management system and program.
• Advise and ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, risk management factors and legislation.
• Conduct safety, health, risk and environmental inspections and audits of all departments as required.
• Any other reasonable and executable task within your vocational ability assigned by Superior.

Qualifications, Experience & Attributes:
• Grade 12/Matric (English & Mathematics/Math Literacy).
• Computer literate (MS Office Word, Excel proficient).
• NOSA or equivalent SAMTRAC OHSE related certificate/qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years previous working experience in SHEQ manufacturing or logistics operations environment.
• Knowledge of ISO14001, ISO45001 & ISO50001
• Ability to analyze information, adapt and respond to change and cope with setbacks and pressure.
