Lancet Laboratories is seeking dedicated and qualified candidates to join our team as a Security Officer in the Central Region. This permanent role is designed to enhance security and surveillance, ensuring the safety of personnel and laboratory assets at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV and physical patrols) to prevent unauthorized access.
- Control access points, including car parks, and ensure only authorized vehicles and individuals enter the premises.
- Direct visitors and patients to designated areas professionally and efficiently.
- Secure company equipment/property by verifying authorization for items leaving the premises.
- Maintain a secure key storage system for night-shift couriers and nursing staff.
- Report security breaches or irregularities to the Laboratory Manager or relevant Pathologist.
- Uphold safety and quality assurance standards, including infection control and biohazardous waste disposal.
- Maintain professional interactions with medical professionals, ensuring excellent customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Grade 10
- Experience: 0-1 year of relevant security experience
- Knowledge of: Organizational security policies and procedures

- Ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Strong sense of accountability and attention to detail
- Effective communication and conflict management skills
- High levels of integrity and honesty
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
